A new horizon is beginning to take shape between St Peter’s and Norton as steel framework is erected on an industrial site between the parishes.
St Modwen Park Broomhall will see tens of thousands of square feet devoted to warehouse and logistics space in the first two of potentially five units.
Construction work is under way on the first two units of a new industrial site between St Peter’s and Norton.
The 12-acre site – St Modwen Broomhall Park – will be the location for up to five units earmarked for industrial and logistics use.
The site being developed was chosen for its access to the motorway network and onwards to the Midlands, South West and Wales.
St Modwen Park Broomhall is being developed in several phases.
The first currently under way will feature two units of of 42,711 sqft and 30,240 sqft respectively for warehouse and logistics use.
St Modwen has also submitted plans to build an additional 79,907 sqft in three units for phase two. If approved, they will be delivered in 2022.
The developer says its plans could create 300 new jobs across the region.
The site forms part of the developer’s biggest committed industrial and logistics pipeline of developments, amounting to 1.5m sqft nationally.
