Labour wins both Nunnery seats in Worcester City Council elections

Labour’s Pat Agar and Basharat Ali won the two seats contested in the Nunnery ward in elections to Worcester City Council.

They polled 1,156 and 959 votes respectively, with one of the seats a gain from the Conservatives.

Conservative candidates Adele Rimell and Tom Wisniewksi were third and fourth respectively, with 728 and 661 votes.

The Green Party’s Barbara Mitra and Nicola Silvester were fifth and sixth, with 302 and 186 votes respectively.

Independent Dave Carney was seventh, with 171 votes and Liberal Democrat Mark Fenton was eighth, with 127.
