Parking idea is not a good one

January 31 2020

I cannot believe that Andrew Oliver thinks it is a good idea to use valuable growing/green areas (environmentally friendly) for parking in order to drop and pick up children from Cherry Orchard school (presumably in cars – unenvironmentally friendly).

There are so many safe paths and cycle ways throughout St Peter’s that should encourage people to walk their children to and from school. This is both healthy and environmentally friendly.

Car parking near a school places children at risk of harm in so many ways.

We lived in St Peter’s and had six children. We always walked them to and from Cherry Orchard school.
