Smartwater kits available to some St Peter's residents this evening

Residents of some areas of St Peter’s will be able to pick up Smartwater kits this evening. (Thursday, November 22).

Steve Mackay, Conservative Worcestershire county councillor for St Peter, and West Mercia Police Cadets will be handing out the crime-deterrent kits at St Peter’s Village Hall.

They will be given to residents of the Fishes, the Birds, the Flowers, Queenswood Drive, Rainthorpe Avenue, Tiree Avenue and roads close by.

Anyone from those who has not received one yet can drop in to the village hall to collect a pack between 5pm and 8pm.

Cllr Mackay said: “By marking your property with Smartwater you will be reducing the opportunity of becoming a victim of crime and it may assist the police in identifying offenders with your property in their possession.

“It works by assigning a unique forensic code to your items, allowing them to be traced back to you and makes your home less of a target for thieves.”
