Footpath gate held together with string for more than two years
Whittington parish councillors have not been given a timescale for the repair of a damaged footpath gate that has been held together by string.
They discussed the gate, in Walkers Lane, during a parish council meeting.
The issue, described as “a saga” by chairman Steve Burrows, had been going on for two or three years, he said.
He added he had submitted photos to Worcestershire County Council showing the gate being held together by orange string in an effort to have it dealt with.
Parish council vice-chairman Steve Brooker said: “We actually had an email back recently, saying that it was on the to do list. I don’t know how far down.”
